Circuit Picnic
We had a great day at our church circuit picnic in Lough Key Forest Park on July 27th. The marquee was appropriately stationed beside the old church at the entrance to the park welcoming members and visitors alike. There was a lovely atmosphere of fellowship and new and renewed friendship as we chatted and worshipped in the open air. Rev. Stephen led the informal service of singing and a brief message about ‘the feeding of the five-thousand’. It was fittingly followed by a packed/bring-and-share lunch, an opt-in treasure hunt for the children and anyone who wished were invited to take part in some of the Forest park’s activities including boda-borg, segway travelling (!) , kids kingdom adventure area as well as the many forest walks. We stayed mostly dry and the marquee only blew over once!
